Streets were not bad, no icy patches at least where I traveled. Things to watch out for: - Falling ice from over passes and over hangs.
- Flying ice off cars in front of you, another reason not to tailgate.
- The other drivers.
Video store was quite busy, picked up four titles for $5.41. CM, not so busy. Low on a number of things, especially meat. Glad I stocked up one fire logs. Bought a bit over a pound of wild coho salmon. Set for the night. Took a walk when I returned home around the neighborhood. Quite a few large tree limbs down from heavy ice. My new oaks are bent down but not broken. Ficus on side yard are also bent down. Probably damage by the freeze. I think it is an even bet things will be shut down tomorrow morning, but open in the afternoon. It's going to stay below freezing tonight and early tomorrow morning. There will not be much thawing out before noon and what melted ice there is will refreeze over night am afraid. I'm planning on going to campus to meet my afternoon class. Looks like I picked up a ninth student for drawing. And want to swim outdoors. Reading group tomorrow night. Thank goodness it is down south near my place at Dan's house. More painting in the studio until dinner time. The last chance during this extended break.
