 I decided it was time to get a new central AC/furnace unit. Austin rebate program is about to end. Furnace has been a problem every winter and utility bills keep going up. Anyway, the one I am getting uses Puron refrigerant and will probably pay for itself over the next seven years with reduced energy costs. Great news. Dean search thrown out, Doug will be intern dean. It was a dirty mess of a search and the Provost and President were right to not accept the two finalists put forward by a faction of the search committee. Politics at its worst. Graduate Studies Committee yesterday, Painting meeting tomorrow and that is the end of this semester for sure. I got a hair cut. Brought a coupon for a reduced price one and then at the end discovered this one was free, minus a good tip for a good clip. Two paintings taken to get photographed, the ones for the summer show. This after working on a new one this morning. Swam at Barton Monday. Water was skanky for all the rain. Hope that improves. Aquatic center tuesday, today and tomorrow. Openings, openings. I had to order a new driver side seat belt buckle for my truck. Old one is wore out and pops open. Now stretching the driver side plate connecting to the center seat buckle. Not only is it illegal to drive, or even be a passenger, with out a seat belt in Texas, you'd be crazy to drive around here with out one.
