and so
No movie last night. Went to two openings instead at Lora Reynolds and Art Palace. Dan S. had invited me to dinner and then we were going to head out. But when I got to the S's Dan had forgotten all about it, was in his bed close and wondering what to do that evening. Anyway, I did have dinner there and we did get to the openings. It was good to see a bunch of people again, home from winter travels.

Swimming as usual. Today it was grey, cool and beginning to sprinkle but there were still a couple needing to share a lane at the aquatic center. Afterwards I saw David A. at Central Market and he asked me if I'd ever gone to the new swim center. Duh. But campus was coming to life again and school days are soon upon us.

Today I rearranged my studio, moving the easel and lights. I'd been working in the same position I had with the table easel I'd borrowed from Dan S. Any who, think I will let the newest painting rest after some big changes this morning and go back or forward to some old or brand new in the morning.

Tomorrow I need to meet with Hana H about the 4x8 foot wall drawing I will be doing for the next show at the CRL.

Weather has turned grey and cloudy. We may actually get some rain over the next two days.

Computer is acting up. Hate that. Will need to figure out why. Did do another pre monthly backup.

May watch something I rented by Luis Bunuel tonight with salmon and steamed vegetables.

By the way, that image up there has nothing to do with this post. Stolen from WFMU's this week in sex

***Tumblin’ Dice***

Women think I’m tasty, but they’re always tryin’ to waste me
And make me burn the candle right down,
But baby, baby, I don’t need no jewels in my crown.

’cause all you women is low down gamblers,
Cheatin’ like I don’t know how,
But baby, baby, there’s fever in the funk house now.
This low down bitchin’ got my poor feet a itchin’,
You know you know the duece is still wild.

Baby, I can’t stay, you got to roll me
And call me the tumblin’ dice.

Always in a hurry, I never stop to worry,
Don’t you see the time flashin’ by.
Honey, got no money,
I’m all sixes and sevens and nines.
Say now, baby, I’m the rank outsider,
You can be my partner in crime.

But baby, I can’t stay,
You got to roll me and call me the tumblin’,
Roll me and call me the tumblin’ dice.

Oh, my, my, my, I’m the lone crap shooter,
Playin’ the field ev’ry night.

Baby, can’t stay,
You got to roll me and call me the tumblin’ dice, (call me the tumblin’)
Got to roll me, got to roll me, got to roll me (oh yeah)
Got to roll me. got to roll me, got to roll me ( keep on rolling, keep on rolling)
